About Us

Welcome! 

We are a family of five living in Washington state. This blog is a place for us to share our experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our state was the first to have an outbreak in the US, and we are currently choosing to self-isolate to help slow the spread and flatten the curve. (We're calling it a quarantine, but we recognize that there are a lot of different levels of quarantine. We are staying at home, not having play-dates, and only going out for essentials or neighborhood walks.)

We fill our days with art, movies, reading, games, and a little bit of school work.

Our intention with this blog is to document the progress of COVID-19 in our state and in our nation, while also documenting what life is like for us at home while Alex works from home and Jen and the kids look for ways to spread kindness and try to not kill each other.

We're not trying to be the best ever at quarantining. We're not trying to win any kind of craft-at-home competition. We're just trying to use this time to strengthen our family and connect with people we love.
